Age 7 is the recommended time for your child to have his/her 1st consultation with an Orthodontist, preferably a member of the American Association of Orthodontists like Dr. Swiatek.
If your child is suffering from any of the following, it may be time for their first orthodontist appointment:
- Early, late, or irregular loss of baby teeth
- Difficulty in chewing or biting
- Mouth breathing
- Protruding teeth
- Thumb sucking beyond the age of 5
- Underbite or overbite
- Crowded, crooked, or misplaced teeth
- Jaws and teeth that are out of proportion to the rest of the face

Initial Exams Are Always Free At Swiatek Orthodontics

In fact, initial exams for patients of all ages are 100% FREE at Swiatek Orthodontics, and Dr. S is a Harvard-trained Orthodontist with over 25 years of experience. What’s more, if your child is not yet ready for treatment and needs to come back for “observation” re-exams, all re-exam visits are FREE also. No payment is necessary until treatment begins.
Members of the American Association of Orthodontists are specialists in Orthodontics. They have 2 to 3 years of additional training after dental school, so they know more than the average dentist about orthodontic treatment. Dr. S, an American Association of Orthodontists member, studied orthodontics for 3 years at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, and has been in practice for 25 years. He does orthodontics all day, everyday; not fillings, cleanings, or any other dental procedures. That’s the focus and experience you want, to get the highest-quality orthodontic care for each member of the family.
